The smooth 360° spinner wheels and TSA lock enhance convenience, while the organized compartments keep electronics and toiletries accessible. Its impact-resistant polycarbonate shell and 20% expandable capacity ensure it stands up to frequent use and changing packing needs. The smooth spinner wheels and TSA lock provide security and ease of mobility, comparable to the LOVEVOOK Beige but at a lower price point. However, it lacks details about the USB port’s power capacity, which might be a concern for those relying heavily on charging their devices. The inclusion of a cup holder, front pocket, and combination lock adds convenience and security. Compared to larger models like the LOVEVOOK options, this suitcase trades expandable capacity for a more streamlined, lightweight design. Compared with the TRAVELARIM 20 Inch Carry On, it offers a larger capacity when expanded, though it weighs slightly more at 8.6 pounds. The built-in USB ports enhance convenience, but since the power bank isn’t included, users must supply their own. Its silent spinner wheels and TSA lock make it a reliable choice for frequent flyers, yet the expanded size might not fit in some budget airline overhead compartments. TRAVELARIM 20 Inch Carry On Luggage 22x14x9 Airline Approved Suitcase
The TRAVELARIM stands out for its sturdy ABS and polycarbonate shell, providing excellent impact resistance, especially compared with the softer-sided Hanke 20 Inch Carry On. Its impact-resistant hard shell offers peace of mind during rough handling, while the included removable cosmetic case and device charging options add to its appeal. At 11 pounds, it’s slightly heavier than soft-sided options, which might be a concern for weight-sensitive travelers. The expandable feature adds 1.2 inches of space, but the absence of a specified warranty or customer support leaves some uncertainty. This suitcase makes the most sense for travelers seeking a durable, hard-shell case with useful extras, willing to carry a bit more weight for added protection and features.

Hanke 20 Inch Carry On Luggage with Cup Holder and USB Ports
The Hanke combines an innovative top-opening design with added convenience features like a cup holder and phone/iPad holder, making it ideal for travelers who value quick access and organization. The impact-resistant polycarbonate shell and aluminum frame provide durability, but the large size and weight at 8.2 pounds could be a drawback for those packing light or with strict weight limits. Its eight spinner wheels offer smooth maneuverability, yet the bulky design might not fit easily into small overhead compartments. Compared to other models like the Carry-On Luggage Top Opening, it offers more organizational features but sacrifices some lightweight portability. This choice works well for travelers who want quick access, extra organization, and built-in charging, even at the expense of some weight and bulk.

This top-opening suitcase emphasizes quick access to essentials with its unique design, making it stand out from traditional zipper models like the Carry-On Luggage with Top Opening. Its expandable capacity and built-in USB ports add convenience, though it doesn’t include a power bank, requiring users to supply their own. The polycarbonate blend shell offers durability, and the 360° spinner wheels ensure smooth navigation through airports. However, the top-opening style may be less secure than zipper closures, and with limited color options, personalization is limited. It suits travelers who want straightforward access combined with charging capabilities, but those who prefer traditional zippers for security might prefer other options.
Pros:- Expandable capacity increases storage by 14%

This model offers a practical combination of top-opening access, impact-resistant polycarbonate, and expandability, making it versatile for different travel needs. The front-access laptop compartment enables quick retrieval, while the built-in USB port supports on-the-go charging—ideal for busy travelers. Compared to the Hanke 20 Inch Carry On, it leans toward security with its TSA lock and sturdy shell. Its 8.36-pound weight is manageable, but the hard shell may limit flexibility when packing irregular items. The bag’s impact resistance and secure TSA lock make it a solid choice for those valuing security and quick device access, though it sacrifices some packing flexibility and may be less lightweight than soft-sided options.
Pros:- Impact-resistant polycarbonate shell
- Includes USB port for charging devices
- Front-access laptop compartment for quick retrieval
- TSA lock for security

imiomo 20 Inch Carry-On Luggage with USB Port, TSA Lock, Spinner Wheels, Pink
This imiomo carry-on stands out for its robust ABS hard shell, which offers excellent water resistance and durability—ideal for travelers who need reliable protection for their belongings. Compared with the KROSER, which is lighter and more expandable, the imiomo’s sturdy build provides peace of mind in rough handling situations, though it weighs slightly more at 8.4 pounds. The inclusion of a TSA lock and spinner wheels enhances security and maneuverability, making it suitable for frequent flyers. The front laptop compartment with a USB port adds convenience, but the monochrome pink color limits style options for those seeking more variety. Notably, it lacks expandability, which could be a drawback for travelers needing extra packing space on longer trips. This model is a strong choice for travelers prioritizing durability, security, and water resistance.
Pros:- Robust ABS hard shell offers excellent durability and water resistance
- Includes a USB charging port for on-the-go device power

KROSER Carry-On Luggage Suitcase Rolling 20-Inch
The KROSER 20-inch carry-on is designed for travelers who value lightweight construction and packing flexibility, making it a great alternative to the slightly heavier imiomo. Weighing just over 7 pounds, it’s easier to carry through airports and overhead bins, and its expandable capacity provides extra room when needed, unlike the non-expandable imiomo. The built-in USB port simplifies device charging, though note that you need to supply your own power bank—a common feature in this category. The durable spinner wheels and TSA-approved lock enhance security and ease of travel. However, its slightly smaller capacity (36L) may be limiting for longer trips, and the compact size could be tight for packing essentials on extended travels. This pick suits travelers who prioritize weight savings and flexibility but don’t need maximum capacity.
Pros:- Lightweight construction at just over 7 pounds, easing overhead storage
- Expandable design adds packing capacity for longer trips
- Built-in USB port for charging devices on the go

Factors to Consider When Choosing Carryon Luggage With Usb Ports
When choosing carryon luggage with USB ports, it’s essential to consider several factors that impact usability, security, and overall value. Not all USB ports are equal—some provide fast charging, while others are limited to basic power. Beyond the ports, durability, weight, and airline restrictions play critical roles in making a practical choice. Here are the key considerations to keep in mind.Charging Power and Compatibility
Not all USB ports deliver the same charging speed. Look for models supporting at least 2.1A or higher for faster device charging. Also, verify whether the luggage has a built-in power bank or requires a removable one, as airline regulations often restrict fixed batteries. Compatibility with your devices and charger types is crucial, so check if the ports support standard USB-C or USB-A connections based on your needs.
Build Quality and Durability
The material of the suitcase impacts longevity and weight. Hard-shell models tend to protect contents better but can be heavier, while soft-shell options often weigh less and offer more flexibility for packing. Consider the robustness of the spinner wheels and handles, especially if you travel frequently or on uneven surfaces. A durable, well-constructed suitcase minimizes the risk of damage during transit.
Size, Weight, and Airline Rules
Adhering to airline size restrictions prevents last-minute surprises at the gate. Check the dimensions carefully—most carryons are around 20-22 inches—and ensure the weight is manageable. Luggage that’s too heavy reduces your packing capacity and can cause inconvenience during security checks. Lightweight models with expandable features offer a good balance between capacity and ease of handling.
Security Features
Look for TSA-approved locks or combination locks to safeguard your belongings. Some models incorporate secure compartments for batteries or cables, which can prevent accidental disconnections or theft. Security features add peace of mind, especially during long layovers or when stored in shared spaces.
Additional Convenience Features
Extras like cup holders, phone mounts, or front pockets increase convenience but may add weight or complexity. Evaluate whether these features align with your travel habits. Also, consider ease of access—top-opening designs can simplify retrieving items, while expandable compartments improve packing flexibility. Balance these extras with overall weight and size constraints for a tailored fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I charge my device while traveling with a carryon luggage that has a USB port?
Yes, most carryon luggage with USB ports are designed to allow device charging during travel. However, it’s important to check whether the port supports fast charging and if the power bank is built-in or removable. Airlines often restrict fixed batteries over a certain capacity, so a removable power bank is usually a safer option. Always verify that your device’s charging cables are compatible with the port type provided.
Are USB ports on carryon luggage compatible with all devices?
Most USB ports support standard USB-A or USB-C connections, which are compatible with the majority of smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices. However, it’s wise to confirm the port type before purchasing, especially if you rely on fast-charging or specific cable types. Additionally, the actual charging speed depends on the power bank’s output and the device’s compatibility.
Will using a USB port on luggage drain the battery quickly?
Charging devices via the USB port will naturally drain the power bank’s battery over time. The rate depends on the device’s power requirements and the port’s output capacity. If you’re traveling long distances, consider a model with a larger capacity or a removable battery to ensure continuous charging without needing a recharge of the power bank itself.
How do I know if the luggage’s USB port is safe and reliable?
Look for luggage with reputable brands and reviews that mention reliable charging performance. Quality models often include built-in protections against overcurrent, overheating, and short circuits. Additionally, check if the product complies with airline safety standards and if the battery is certified for air travel. Avoid cheap, unbranded options that may lack proper safety features.
Should I prioritize a suitcase with an integrated or removable power bank?
Choosing between integrated or removable power banks depends on your travel needs and airline regulations. Removable batteries tend to be more flexible; you can carry them separately if required and replace them when worn out. Integrated batteries offer a sleeker look but may be harder to replace or upgrade. Consider your travel frequency and the importance of convenience versus compliance when making this choice.
Conclusion
For frequent travelers seeking the best overall balance of durability, charging, and security, the LOVEVOOK Carry On Luggage 22x14x9 makes an excellent choice. Budget-conscious buyers will appreciate models like the Hanke 20 Inch Carry On for reliable charging at a lower price point. For those prioritizing style or premium features, the French Connection St. Martin offers a fashionable design with integrated USB ports. Beginners or infrequent travelers should focus on lightweight, easy-to-maneuver options, while business travelers may benefit from added security features and quick-access compartments. Ultimately, your choice should reflect your travel habits, device needs, and budget constraints.Fall Picks
